Omega Savonette Gran Prix 1900 Silver Pocket Watch <p> <span style="font-size: 10pt;">Louis Brandt and Frére - Omega Watch Co was created in 1903. But his history begans  the year 1848 when Louis Brandt founded own watch company in La Chaux de Fonds, Switzerland.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">When Louis Brandt passed away in 1879, he left the company to his two sons Louis-Paul and Cesar, who moved Omega to Bienne in January 1880, the company change nomination to Louis Brandt and Fils. In order to cover different market sectors, they founded several brands: Brandt y Gurzelen (1882), Décimal (1884) y Labrador (1885).This fact allowed the company to expand and by 1889 it was the largest manufacture of finished watches in Switzerland, producing a then-staggering 100,000 watches per year.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">During 1892 they developed in partnership with Audemars Piguet, and quite likely the first wristwatch of its kind.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt;">Both Brandt brothers died in 1903, placing the fate of the company in the control of four descendants.
